Hartley Lord Estate, in Kennebunk, Maine is a beautiful, privately-owned home that was built and designed in 1885 for Hartley Lord by Master Architect, George F. Meacham. Meacham was also the architect and designer of the Boston Public Garden. The house is filled with stunning Victorian details--carved cherry wood moldings, walnut paneling, trompe oeil painting in the dining room, every beautiful fireplace in full working order. The original 100 acres of land the house is set upon are intact with beautiful meadows and forest. From the Widow's Walk on the roof, one can see to the ocean beyond on a clear day.
